Why Did You Choose Breyanzi?

Hear how Rob, a real Breyani patient, made his decision to go with Breyanzi treatment after consulting with his doctors.

Transcript

Rob: After my other treatments failed, I learned about Breyanzi, and other CAR T treatments, but I liked what I read about outcomes, and I felt that that was probably going to be the right treatment for me, and my doctors were supportive and all for it.

What Should People Know Before Starting Breyanzi?

Having been through treatment with Breyanzi, Rob and Jason describe what they wish they had known beforehand.

Transcript

Rob: I want people to know heading into Breyanzi, that for me, it took care of my lymphoma and offered hope, when my other treatments failed.

Jason: While it wasn’t easy I wish I had known and had less fear about how well it would go.

How Would You Describe CAR T Therapy to Loved Ones?

Listen to how Jenna talked to her loved ones about how CAR T therapy works.

Transcript

Jenna: I tried to explain CAR T therapy to my family in the most simplistic way possible, the most important note was to relate to them that it was very specific to me. And to my body. So, I think that brought them a lot of comfort knowing that.

How Important Is It to Have a Strong Support System During Treatment?

Jason and Rob discuss how having someone in your corner is key to the treatment experience.

Transcript

Jason:  So, what really got me thru CAR T and doing Breyanzi was having a strong support system.  Part of that was really just sharing what I knew about CAR T with my family and friends.

Rob:  I was so lucky to have a great advocate in my corner, my wife helped every step along the way…when I was too sick, or too weak or too exhausted, it’s really important to have someone in your corner to help navigate through your treatment.

How Did You Deal With Side Effects?

Jenna talks about her experience with side effects.

Transcript

Jenna: My health care team was very transparent when it came to my side effects. And they really were cautious when it came to any side effects and my health and wanted to err on the side of caution and make sure I was safe. That calmed me down a lot and I knew I was under good care. And if you experience any side effects please call your health care provider.

How Can You Talk to Your Employer About Taking Time Off?

Rob discusses how he approached his employer about work expectations during treatment.

Transcript

Rob: I was fortunate that I had worked for my employer for a long time and they were very supportive of my need of leave. I’d say be up front with your employer and let them know that you're going to be out of work for a stretch, and you won’t be able to work or perform your primary functions during that time.

What Is the Infusion Experience Like?

Hear from Rob about the infusion experience.

Transcript

Rob: It’s a one-time infusion once you get your cells, and that was it, and it was actually pretty anticlimactic, I didn’t really feeling anything while I was receiving the cells…and I basically, went on with my day after a very short procedure. It was very doable.
